The shoe's construction is designed to allow the model to be produced with fewer steps. Care was taken to minimize seams, also to make the shoes easy to clean. For environmental reasons, a new construction was developed that requires less adhesive than conventional sneakers and can be produced with less material.
In the area of standards and sustainability, VELT is committed to gradual, verifiable further development. The materials used comply with EU directives and are REACH-compliant. The corresponding proofs are obtained from the manufacturers. In addition, there is vegan certification www.v-label.com as well as CO₂ calculation and reduction strategy in cooperation with www.climatepartner.com. Manufacturing
The sneakers are manufactured in Portugal, in the region around Porto. The upper is hand-stitched, and assembly is also largely done manually. VELT prioritizes sourcing materials from the region whenever possible, with the aim of reducing transport distances and preserving local production structures.
Fit
The model has a regular fit, with a slightly wider toe box. This ensures more comfort and a relaxed feel when walking. At the same time, the construction allows for high mobility in the ankle area.
